Miwako Ohta-Agresta offers yoga classes,  health counseling and hypnosis sessions.

The yoga classes are mixed level and suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners. Classes begin with pranayama (breathing) followed by warm up/stretches, then sun salutations (series of postures performed while linking breath to movement) leading to asanas (poses) that help build strength, flexibility, balance, and focus. Modifications are offered for beginners, people with physical limitations or injuries.

Special classes for yoga for osteoporosis are available.

Health Coaching sessions are typically done in person in my home or yours.  It can also be done virtually if that is more convenient. The coaching sessions teach you to set goals and make small changes leading to a lifetime of healthy habits. The sessions are 1 hour long.

Hypnosis is a very effective tool to help change habits and patterns of behavior. Its a wonderful adjunct to health counseling to cut cravings, binges and stop emotional eating. Great for weight loss, smoking cessation, stress reduction and to build self confidence.

Miwako received  her BSN from Syracuse University and MSN/Midwifery from Columbia University.  She completed her health counseling training through Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2012,  yoga teacher training (RYT 200) through Lotus Gardens Yoga School in 2014, and became a certified hypnotherapist through Mind Matters Hypnosis in 2018. She received training from Dr. Loren Fishman to teach yoga for bone health in 2021
